RayTalk for Public Security |
Police chooses the Wireless
Important Case History of 2006 that has seen RayTalk starting, within the project of the new Operational Central of the Police of
the Republic of San Marino, the realization of an innovative project to provide the men and the motor vehicles of the
Police with technologies of telecommunications able to communicate voice, data and real-time video in order to operate in urban or
extraurbane zones, using the same technological instruments available at the Operational Central.

RayTalk Industries has developed and introduced on the market a new generation of wireless equipments to build territorial mesh networks
that use the innovative M.H.A.N. ® (Multi Hop Access Network) protocol developed by RayTalk.
To allow extravehicular actions of the agents in a range of action of hundreds of meters in free area around the vehicle that acts
like repeating of signal, RayTalk has developed a completely portable or wearable modular integrated system composed by a
wireless transmitter, a micro high sensibility camera, that can be grasped or hidden in the regulation clothes, and a micro digital
audio/video VCR..
The agent moves and operates normally while the wearable wireless system transmits the video coming from the camera. On board of the
patrol, using a Wi-Fi Notebook, the images are visualized and the action is video-recorded in real time, producing a precious documentation
in case of particular intervention.
The project is already in an executive phase and RayTalk is picking up important data to understand the potentialities and the limits of
employment on the field, in real situations, often to the limit. The second step foresees the wireless coverage of the territory of the
Republic of San Marino with a M.H.A.N. mesh network of 62 Kmq, to allow the real time control of the pedestrian action of the
agents by the Operative Central.
The General Command of the Police of the Republic of San Marino has invested a lot in the technology to equip itself for first in Europe of advanced instruments for the control of the territory and the management of the public safety. The RayTalk for Public Security project represents the most evolved application of Wireless Videosurveillance and Mobility ever realized in Europe and leads the primacy of the Italian technology once more toward goals of historical importance.
To defence such application, RayTalk has deposited an important patent for industrial invention.

“Live from the past, today is possible”
"RayTalk for Archaeology" identifies the activity that since June 2005 sees RayTalk engaged as official
technological sponsor and partner of Province of Rimini, Ministry for Arts and Culture, and for Archaeological
Superintendence of Emilia Romagna and Municipality of Verucchio, providing the most advanced and high performance instruments, and men and equipments, to
realize the first Geographical Wireless Network Infrastructure dedicated to Archaeology.

Thanks to the Geographical Wireless Coverage, that takes the Wi-Fi signal everywhere in a pervasive way,the video streams coming from the different
telecameras(PTZ dome-cameras, “Helmet” videocameras,“Swan” videocameras) used on the excavation site, are recorded onto hard-disk in high quality, creating the
fundamental historical document.
At the same time, dealing with a network, the shooting are shared by the streaming server, that compresses and prepares them for the real
time transmission on Internet.

During the time of the excavation, every day archaeologists use Wireless “Helmet” and mobile “Swan” Telecameras as complementary instruments to daily work,
just like the spatula, the brush and the photocamera.

RayTalk for K2 |
RayTalk Wireless Professionals: official technological supplier of the Italian expedition K2 2004 “50 years later”
50 years later Italy is back on the K2, the most difficult peak of the world, in Karakorum, to celebrate the jubilee of the professor Ardito Desio climb on July 31 1954 together with Achille Compagnoni, Lino Lacedelli and his companions. The expedition “K2 2004 - 50 years later” has re-proposed on a modern key the values and challenges of that great adventure, achieving an alpine, sporting and scientific result of world-wide importance.

This historical, scientific and human achievement has been supported by the Italian Republic presidency, by the Senate of the Republic, by the Council presidency, by the Foreign Business Ministry, and, among the many, even by the Ministry of the Pakistan government
RAYTALK Brand, produced and distributed in exclusive all Europe, identifies all the highly technological products used in the expedition. Solutions Srl has provided Professional RayTalk Wireless Lan, that is Wi-Fi, the radio technology that permits wireless communication between computer networks, laptop notebooks, hand-held computers, videocameras, mobile phones and every other technological equipment compatible with this world wide standard of wireless communication.

Thanks to these equipments, modified to resist to extreme temperatures and weather conditions, it has been possible to connect the climbers’ laptops, allowing them to create a true LAN Network able to support scientific data transmission, real time videoconference, chat and telephone communications VOIP (Voice Over Ip) just like what happens everyday in a normal office.
So the K2 mountain became an enormous hotspot wireless at 8.500 meters, comparable to a citizen network, with the aim to give hospitality to data transmissions, video, audio and real time telephony, just like on Internet.

Climbers, distributed along the walk of the climb, have been equipped by PC laptops and video-cameras in order to create a video conference communication between each other and the base, multimedia operative center, so they could speak and see each other in every moment, giving medical care and never losing contact with each other.
Micro-cameras, housed inside the helmets, have been used by the climbers to shoot the phases of the climbing and the scientific operations on the top and on the high fields, in order to guarantee a live broadcast television (TV) link, and enabling RAI (Italian RAdio-television) to broadcast worldwide through the satellite all the phases of this historical event.
Journalists, camped at the base field, could broadcast in every moment their reportages via Internet towards their seats scattered all around the world, and even simple curious people were able to connect to the Internet, living in real time this event on the reference site www.montagna.org.
